You saw the good when no one could,
Believed in me like no one would.
Through all my wrongs, you still held tight,
Knowing one day, I’d find the light.
I sat beside you, held your hand,
Tucked you in when you couldn’t stand.
You longed to watch me chase my dream,
But life was cruel; it stole that scene.
Now, in every game, through every fight,
I’ll play for you with all my might.
And when I make it, when I shine
I’ll know you always knew in time.
I just wish you were by my side
