In the sky of the mind,
there is one blue star ~
aglow in the northern heavens,
crown of the head,
space of consciousness.
Blue jewel, blue pearl,
I sleep & wake & walk with you,
secreted away in the still-soft fontanelle.
When December died,
I woke in the blank dark of 5:55am,
& peacefulness pulsed
in all the halls of my blood.
Poetry poured out of the eyes
in the palms of my hands,
blissful tears of indigo ink.
