Closed Doors

Closed doors seal freedom, rape hopes and kill dreams of millions of people. Shihab writes a poignant yet powerful poem.

Closed doors boast of the aroma that once filled
the hearts of people who chose to stay together;
but separated by sealed emotions within

Closed doors keep aside surreal dreams
destined to break ways in the tunnel of derailment,
haunted by nocturnal cries of autumn

Closed doors talk of miseries and misfortunes
people kept themselves in the fear of being,
raped by the sarcasm of time

Closed doors invite guests
from unknown lands to feast upon,
the untold mysteries waiting to be explored in ruins.
