A Moment Of Tranquility

Tranquility is priceless.

How long have I cherished
A day like this
When the sun is bright and
Flowers all around
Red, yellow and white

A moment of pause
When things stand still
Nothing to worry and
Nothing to think

Sitting on a bench
The sun’s gentle kiss on my face
And the melody of the air
A sweet embrace

How long have I cherished
A day like this
Surroundings full of radiant sunbeams
And everything looks like a sweet dream

Snow white clouds
One, two and three
That dance along
A part of the grand theme

Butterflies on flowers
Tasting flight
A tranquil scene
Such a delight

Rustling leaves all around
That sing in tune
Like wind chimes
On a summer’s noon

And the distant sound
Of a babbling brook
Adding to the tranquil vibe
Of this peaceful nook

How long have I cherished
This moment of tranquility
Away from the chaos
And daily mundanity

So I sit and soak it all in,
This moment of pure bliss,
Grateful for the beauty that surrounds,
In a world that oft seems amiss

In this moment, there is no past or future,
No worries or fears to bear,
Just the simple joy of being alive,
And the beauty that’s everywhere

How long have I cherished
This moment of pure bliss,
This respite from the chaos of life,
And all the beauty it brings

I cannot say for sure
For time is but a fleeting thing,
But I know that in this moment,
My heart is light and my soul takes wings

So let me bask in the warmth of the sun,
And revel in this peaceful scene,
For it reminds me of life’s many wonders,
And all the beauty that’s yet to be seen.
