Photography has evolved into an omnipresent medium that documents & narrates the story of humanity.

Photography serves a purpose. It encapsulates reality, captures a moment in time through a lens. The act of photography allows the photographer behind the lens to tell a story.

It is a medium through which a photographer interprets the incongruous, discordant reality – reality, as he/she sees and experiences it. A photographer tunes his lens onto something –or someone– because they find something to be either interesting or obnoxious – or a combination of both.

In that sense, photography is an intensely personal expression. That means, it isn’t always about about telling a story. It is, instead, a medium through which a photographer processes reality he is destined to experience.

Consequently, Photographs echo their lived experiences, chance encounters and observations. And at times, a photograph is a chimera of reality – the photographer’s reality. Photographers are participants in that reality, making others the subject of their worldview.
