The history of North East India remains neglected in the textbooks and syllabus of the Indian education system. It is unfair and contributes to the underrepresentation of North East Indians.

By neglecting North East India’s rich and diverse history, we prevent students from getting the opportunity to develop a comprehensive understanding of the country’s past, its multicultural fabric and how it has shaped our world. It is crucial to rectify this unfair neglect and ensure a more inclusive portrayal of Indian history.
