Things are no longer like how they were. Times are a-changin’—and, changing rapidly. And, for most of us, getting rich is the pinnacle of everyday dream, or reverie. It remains just that—a dream, and nothing else. What’s more, getting wealthy, in the grind of daily life, and career, is proving to be difficult—the farthest goal from our minds—because, we are so preoccupied with making just enough dough to pay our bills.
As Richard Bach, a former USAF pilot, noted writer and author, put it, “You are never given a dream without also being given the power to make it true. You may have to work for it, however.” He’d say that, because he wasn’t worried about being able to make a living and also maintaining his quintessential lifestyle. It’s just the opposite for most of us. We are worried. Blame it on how life is treating you—of working harder, and yet not being comfortable on the financial front; of jobs getting jettisoned; of a constant worry that one will be out of work anytime, not to speak of trying to juggle career and family demands. The list is long.
It is a big load too: to confront. Yet, it doesn’t have to be that way. You have it in you to say adios to unpleasant bosses, employers, office politics, and long commutes. You could become financially independent, and have more time for your family—and, lead a life the way you want. How? Simple. By working from home. Yes, home. A trend which has gained acceptance worldwide, thanks to the COVID-19 tempest. Without payroll, no debts, no employee headaches and, most importantly, no sleepless nights. You wouldn’t believe it. But, you will. Evidence? Michael LeBoeuf’s practical tome, The Perfect Business—a perceptively inspiring ‘tool-kit,’ published nearly 25 years ago, when COVID-19 was not even distantly, or remotely, imagined—is relevant. It has all the answers you need to make it big from home, especially in the ‘new’ normal, and on your own terms.
