Blame it on a host of triggers—the travails of contemporary living, or call it what you may—stress, lack of exercise, pollution, chemicals, processed, or junk-foods etc. You name it, and you have them in full measure—with one component overlapping the other, and vice versa.
What makes the presence of an underlying, or possible, heart ailment a delicate customer to handle, notwithstanding medical and technological advance, is the fulsome threat it holds for us in the face. More so because most people just delay going to the doctor, or better still a cardiologist, a specialist, for diagnosis and treatment, or are oblivious of the fact they may have it in them, and not in the corner of their mind.
Picture this—the tragic, untimely death of Sidharth Shukla, Puneeth Rajkumar and Krishna kumar Kunnath, or KK, all gifted talents in their prime.
It is, indeed, a paradox that most people do not lose sleep over heart disease up until they are well into their forties, or earlier, as is the case today. This view should change, because of the growing incidence and signs of heart disease are now showing up in one’s teenage, also youthful, years.
