Urmi Chakravorty
Urmi is a former educator and presently, a freelance writer, reviewer and editor based out of Bangalore, India. Her opinion pieces have been published in The Hindu and The Times of India. Her short stories, non-fiction, and poetry have found space in over thirty-five domestic and international literary magazines and anthologies, including Tell Me Your Story, Muse India, Borderless Journal, Mean Pepper Vine, eShe, The Chakkar, Kitaab International, Indian Review, The Wise Owl and Women’s Web. Along the way, she has picked up accolades and awards instituted by Rupa Publications, Women’s Web, S7, TMYS Review, and Wordweavers.
A passionate traveller, Urmi is a lover of psithurism, petrichor, ginger tea, and everything in between. Her other interests include reading, music, photography, and spending time with her community dogs.
