Thomas Klassen

Thomas Klassen is a professor in the School of Public Policy and Administration at York University. He has published widely on Canadian politics and policy and numerous other fields. His particular area of expertise is labour market policy including the transition from school to work and the role of training and education. He has held Visiting Professor appointments in Germany and South Korea. He has been prepared experts reports and affidavits, research reports for various levels of government and international organizations such as the OECD, and briefs to Standing Committees. Recent books include "The Essential Guide to Studying Abroad: From Success in the Classroom to a Fulfilling Career" (2020), "Ageing in Asia-Pacific: Interdisciplinary and Comparative perspectives" (2018), and "The Routledge Handbook of Global Public Policy and Administration" (2017). He has travelled widely including to North Korea.
