Sujatha Warrier

Sujatha Warrier lives in Kochi, India. She is a writer and editor by profession, and a poet and translator by passion. Her articles and poems have appeared in magazines, online portals, literary journals and anthologies. The Attic & Other Poems is a collection of her poems, with illustrations. Fireflies is a collection of her micro-poems. She was ranked fourth in the 2nd Rabindranath Tagore International Poetry Competition. She was awarded Outstanding Poet of the Year by in 2013. She was adjudged ‘Highly Recommended’ by the jury for the Prime Poetry Prize 2019. Most recently, she has been chosen for the Panorama Literary Award 2020.

The Madras Courier is the first newspaper to be established in the Madras Presidency, British India. Published on October 12, 1785, it was the leading newspaper of its time. Selling for a princely sum of one rupee, it thrived for three decades.
