Simon Evans

Simon Evans

Simon is Director of International Partnerships in the Lord Ashcroft International Business School. He's also a Principal Lecturer specialising in tourism and environmental issues, with research interests including ecotourism and tiger conservation. Simon has been at Anglia Ruskin University for 17 years, before which he was engaged in forestry developments internationally, consulting on transitions from production to recreational forest management. He has experience in consultancy for ecotourism development and has worked on research in diverse areas including community forestry development in the UK and the economics and ethics of tiger farms in China. Simon holds a PhD in the area of the sustainable management of forest environments. Research interests - Ecotourism development in developing nations - Tourism in Trinidad and Tobago - Illegal wildlife trade and enforcement mechanisms - Tiger conservation in India - Tiger farms in China
