Prerna Tolani & Sathyaraj Venkatesan
Prerna Tolani is a Senior Research Fellow at the Department of Humanities and Social Sciences, National Institute of Technology, Tiruchirappalli. She is also a recipient of the ‘Global Critical Neurodiversity Studies Fellowship’ (2025-26) awarded by the Institute for Medical Humanities, Durham University, UK. Her research lies at the intersection of neurodiversity studies and comics, with broader interests in mental health, disability and DEI narratives. Her work has been published in Journal of Graphic Novels and Comics, BMJ Medical Humanities, Perspectives in Biology and Medicine and The Polyphony.
Dr. Sathyaraj Venkatesan is a Professor of English at the National Institute of Technology, Tiruchirappalli. He is the author of 11 books and 153 research articles on health humanities and graphic medicine. His work has been featured in a wide range of publications, including The Hindu, The Caravan, Scroll, The Pioneer, Wiley Research, Mid-Day, Madras Courier, The Telegraph, The Polyphony (UK), India Art Review, among others.
