Mathieu Blondeel

Mathieu Blondeel

Mathieu joined the WBS in 2020 as a postdoctoral Research Fellow in the Strategy and International Business group. He is interested in a variety of topics at the intersection of global climate and energy politics, with a particular focus on the global energy transformation. He obtained his PhD in International Relations at Ghent University, Belgium. Currently, he is working on a project funded by the UK Energy Research Centre (UKERC), "UK Energy in a Global Context". The theme has two projects: one on The Geopolitical Economy of Energy System Transformation; and a second on Brexit & Beyond: UK Net Zero Energy Policy.
