Mary Tina Shamli Pillay

Mary Tina Shamli Pillay is a Teacher, Poet, Author, Language Editor and Political Enthusiast. Her poem, EVERY SOIL, won the First Prize at the BBC Digital Radio Text poetry competition in 2001, and was broadcast on BBC Radio 3. In 2023, her first collection of poems, I MET A FEATHER, was published, following which, her short story, AT THE FORESHORE, was chosen as the Editor’s Pick of the Week and published on Kitaab in March 2023. Soon, her short story, TWO WOMEN AND A BOAT, will be published. Tina holds degrees in English Literature, Education, and Political Science. She lives in Chennai, India,
