Christopher Kirkland
I am currently employed as a Senior Lecturer in Politics at York St John University. I have previously held positions at the University of Sheffield, the University of Liverpool, University of Leicester and the University of Winchester.
My current research interests are situated within British politics. I have published a monograph The Political Economy of Britain in Crisis (Palgrave Macmillan) which explored the crisis of the 1970s and the economic crisis of 2007. I have further published work exploring the origins of the 2007 crisis and on the 2012 Police and Crime Commissioner Elections and the 2014 by-elections.
