Here's the legend of a Yakshi narrated as a song that churns the sea within your soul.

Legend goes…
when a woman walks under a Paala tree in bloom, at night
under a wondering moon, when flowers glow
above like secret candles or on deep
moonless nights when scents
snake-dance in the air, tease and terrify,

if the Paala sheds its flowers on the woman,
she turns into a Yakshi.

Her nails transfigure into exquisite
daggers of longing that can claw out
whole hearts. Her hair uncoils, then coils.
