The soil made snug with cow dung
Where ants and doves sat on the floral patterns
Made from the rice flour, when the chicks hatched
Fought with the pups of the street dogs,
Running here and there, hiding behind the
Cattle which came tired after hoeing the hectares of land
The calf wanting me to release it to the mother
The sight of its humping to cow, the blossom of love in its eyes
The dribble of saliva from the corners of the brown face
As it eats the green grass freshly tugged
The water pump gushing with force
