Many a tear
have I shed
on murdering
you and your ilk.
Sometimes it was
heartbreak or
worse that I could
hide under
the veil of
sulphurous tears.
Purple, pink,
red, white,
the colours also
of bruises
past.
Surprising,
isn’t it?
