The Dream Catchers

One can dream about chasing dreams. But what happens when they remain distant? Do read this poignant poem.

I used to sit and watch
The waves as they rolled
In gently to kiss the edge
Of the shoreline; the Summer
Breezes carried the dreams
Of invisible kindred spirits in
Far off places, my antennae
Feeling out for friendlier
Charms caught on thermals
Of gyring airs blown onshore.

And as these healing Ariels
Flew in over the hazy distance
Of the rim of wayward horizons,
I would catch them in the nets
Of my outstretched mind to put
Them with my own, invoking
All those other dreamers
Waiting on that further shore.
