Here’s a poem that interprets pencil dust as an allegory for life.

Pencil dust over ink,
One old unkempt haven at the other end of traffic, bicycled on foot,
A white chameleon’s inn, open in generosity,
Morsel of heart over red wildfire,
Eraser wrapper, neither red nor snow,
To be preserved underneath books paginated, or unpaginated?
