Pen, Thoughts & Me

Here’s a poem that delves deep into the poets innermost thoughts.

I don’t want to be a blabber
I don’t want to store
Words in my head
Thoughts make me dry
Like a fish without water
I open up my mouth
To suck water from the air
I don’t want to erase the layers
Of my body, curves of my eyelashes
I want to free my neck
Make my mind fluid like water
And body like air
The fatigue runs through my nerves
And I am swimming in the canal
Of sweat with my eyes
Open
The scorching light is not light
It is God’s word
Showering down
It makes me so humble
That my body can turn
Into a pitcher
To hold water
For moments
For present
My art is my crops
It needs some nourishment
Tears of my soul
Wet me
Softly
Only to define
As someone
Visibly invisible
