What is the colour of letters?

Once they were matter-of-fact
beige — plots of postcard-size
real estate. Barely enough
for “Kyamon achho,”; “I’m fine. Do write.”
A telegram with a college degree.

Blue inland lakes folded family
dramas and romantic vows. The
Sender’s handwriting left the most
Important secret stranded on
The address shore. Once revealed,
dreams and fears floated like
squiggly fish on the lake’s surface.
