When daffodils blossom, they carry the love of children; Simon Altmann's graceful, elegant, and melodious poem.

Able time of the year
when daffodils blossom
on my kitchen table.

They come asleep as babies
and in full bloom next day
they bring the Sun into my room.

Roses carry the love of lovers,
daffodils the love of children.
They enhance the play of life
and proclaim the virtues
of modesty and restraint.
