What is love all about? Is it the mushy romance portrayed in popular culture? Or, is it a something else? Read this verse to find out more.

How on earth could you get the hailstorm in Delhi
while I am still trying to get a winter in Bombay?

But I guess that’s the nature of life –
someone else lands up with what you wished for
and then, the grass is greener on the other side.

Almost always.

Maybe that’s how we met.
And let’s face it, we are hardly
Bonnie and Clyde.
No, not even close!

You binge on Tiramisu and Manga
while I thrive off Austen
You hate squishy vegetables
while I have only ever hated the patriarchy
and in my head, that’s supposed to make you mad –
me ranting on about the feminist movement and
the burning bras and the suffragette,
you are supposed to tire of this.
