A Tryst With Destiny

Hold fast to your hopes. Change is coming. Your fight will lead you to a tryst with destiny.

When all hopes sinks
and bridges become barricades,
day sprawls like a long night,
its lazy wings casting a spell.
Fear haunts like a mammoth giant.

Never give up—
move on, anchored in hope.
Beyond walls and barricades
awaits a day filled with victory.

When words become blasphemy
and slogans turn into shackles,
move on, held fast by your faith;
you will find a way out of your struggle.

When painted faces are stripped bare,
you can see, in the clear light of day,
their ugly faces and hidden propaganda,
masquerading in rhyming slogans and jingles
that belie the truth in broad daylight.

The surging crowds on the roads—
their deep discontent sounds a siren,
warning of a diseased system,
its rusty iron bars waiting to be smashed.

I hear the murmurs rising
from the cunning corridors of history—
fallen dragons and toppled towers of power,
ripped apart by the beguiling whistle of change.

Hold fast to your heart and hope,
for your day will come.

When your mind is cluttered
and all roads are blocked,
pitch your battle with a resurrected soul
to write a history that knows no defeat.

Fall, rise, and fight with renewed vigour
to greet a morning lit by a brilliant sun,
and let the hope you shelter in your heart

lead you to a tryst with destiny.
