And in a world where AI brings everything to the surface, where nothing is left to chance or imagination, we might find ourselves trapped in a reality that is no longer alive with possibility.

Neurosis, as explained by Sigmund Freud, the founder of psychoanalysis, is not simply an illness but a peculiar state of heightened emotional intensity that distorts our experience of the world. It is a psychological condition where the individual reacts to situations with a level of anxiety, doubt, or worry that far exceeds what the circumstances demand.

For Freud, the root of neurosis lies in the unconscious mind, where desires, often repressed or ignored, accumulate like a festering wound. These desires, though hidden from our conscious awareness, continue to exert pressure, making themselves known through feelings of unease, hyper-awareness, and a compulsive need to analyse and control every aspect of life.
