Remittance. A repeating package of money sent by a faraway lover. A wife and her children wait for the sender's return.

Thirsty
I run with the goats
up the hill slope
then down the valley
drenched under the waterfall
I think of you

In the evening
back home
I look at the sky
filled with stars
my eyes swell with tears
I wish I could fly
that very moment to you

Our children ask –
when will you return –
what should I tell them?

Sometimes I get drunk
to forget, sometimes
I go out with other women
to the nearest bus stop.
